Join B Stigma-Free for our first #GivingTuesday

B Stigma-Free received our non-profit 501(c)(3) status from the IRS this fall and we’re honored to join the national and global movement celebrating #GivingTuesday today, December 1, 2015. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. We invite YOU to join our movement!

Why B Stigma-Free?

Recent events and rhetoric from political leaders and candidates demonstrate an urgent need for B Stigma-Free. We cannot stand idly by watching our citizens targeted because of fear and misunderstanding. We are on a mission to make our society a kinder place and we need your help to succeed. There are many ways to get involved with #GivingTuesday…
  1. Join with B Stigma-Free by taking The Pledge. This first step makes a statement that you accept people for who they are, and stand with us to help our society be more inclusive.
  2. Help B Stigma-Free make a difference! Your tax deductible donation helps our efforts to influence change by creating new collaborations and expanding our audience.
  3. Tell your friends about the great work we are doing. Use the hashtag #GivingTuesday to talk about charity and let others know that you b stigma-free by sharing on Facebook and Twitter.

More about our work:

We are continuing to build national partnerships, develop messaging campaigns and grow awareness and educational programs to combat stigma. Today our collective reach is over 4 million strong – and we’ve only just begun! We are getting involved with colleges and local communities to establish grass roots coalitions. We are also expanding our on-line databases of research and information about the multi-faceted impact of stigma on society, ranging from the cost of healthcare to discrimination and death rates.

Thank you for your support and generosity!
