People who have a disability must deal with the challenges inherent with their condition, and society’s response to it. Sometimes it is a matter of discomfort – folks don’t quite know what to say or do. And other times the reactions are more overt, or result from a lack of knowledge. Through our spotlight on disabilities we hope to expand understanding and increase awareness, breaking down barriers and improving communication.
